Frédéric Sudret

Frédéric Sudret is the Chair of BIL Manage Invest’s Board of Directors and a Board member since 2019.

In his role as Secretary General and General Counsel, Frédéric leads and oversees the legal, tax, litigation, corporate governance and supervisory & regulatory affairs of BIL Group.

Frédéric has more than 20 years of experience in the legal and banking sectors.

He joined BIL from UBS in 2015 as Group Head of Legal and had previously held several senior positions in the legal function of the State Street and ABN AMRO groups.

Frédéric, a French national, is a former Avocat à la Cour and member of the Luxembourg bar. He is the holder of a Master of Laws from Boston University and of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at INSEAD.

Claude Eyschen

Claude Eyschen is Head of Wealth Management of Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) and a member of the Executive Committee since January 2024.

Claude Eyschen brings nearly three decades of experience in private banking and financial services. Before joining BIL, he worked at CapitalatWork where he was Managing Director for Luxembourg from 2011 to 2023. Prior to this role, he worked at Dexia-BIL as Head of Institutional and Corporate Sales as well as Market Leader for Private Banking from 1995 to 2011.

Claude Eyschen holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Daniel Haag

Daniel Haag is the Global Head of Corporates at Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, S.A. (BIL) and President of the board of Société Luxembourgeoise de Leasing BIL-LEASE S.A.. He also represents BIL at the Board of Directors of EUREFI.

Daniel started his career in the consulting and audit service industry before joining the Banking sector. Prior to joining BIL, Daniel used to work at BCEE in the large corporates department and gained more than 18 years’ experience working with Luxembourg corporates.

Daniel holds a Master degree from HEC Lausanne, a certification from Havard Business School and is certified Expert en matière fiscale.

Fernand Grulms

Fernand has an experience of 35 years in financial services, ranging from banking and insurance to investment funds.

In former roles, he was the Chief-Economist and Deputy Director General of the Luxembourg Bankers Association ABBL and later the founding CEO of Luxembourg for Finance. Fernand has also run as managing director an actuarial and risk management consulting firm for 10 years. He has been a lecturer in mathematics of finance at the University of Luxembourg for 18 years. Apart from his activities as a professional company director, Fernand is Treasurer of ALAN, the Rare Disease Association of Luxembourg and a Member of the Executive Board of ILA.

Yvon Lauret

Yvon Lauret is a founding partner of Adeis S.A. and spent more than 30 years in the banking and financial industry in various positions linked to M&A activities, alternative investments, fund distribution, and business consulting. He has also been involved in strategic projects and has strongly contributed to launch & develop new business units, within multi-cultural, multi products and global organizations.

Yvon is a graduate of INSEAD (A.M.P.), and he also holds a Master in Economics (the University of Nancy II).

He serves as a Director on the boards of several private equity funds, industrial start-ups, family-owned midcap firms and regulated collective investment funds.

Yvon is also a sworn expert in financial matters & risk management with Tribunal d’Arrondissement Luxembourg.

Alain Bastin

Alain is one of the founders of BIL Manage Invest S.A. (BMI) and is today the Chief Executive Officer of the company.

He has over 30 years of experience in various executive positions in the Banking and Fund industry with a specific focus on risk management and audit.

He joined BIL Group in 2001 as Head of Market & Operational Risk Management until 2013. Before, he has been heading the Risk Management and Audit Department of ING from 1993 to 2001.

As a member of the GFI Committee of the CSSF, Alain has also an active role in the regulatory landscape of Luxembourg.

He is a founding member of ALRIM and has been the Chairman of ALRIM from 2000 to 2005, and also a Board member for 20 years.

Furthermore, he is acting as Board Member of several internal and external alternative structures.

Riccardo Palma

Riccardo has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry where he started his career as a quantitative analyst – financial markets, in Milan.

Before joining BIL Manage Invest S.A. (BMI), Riccardo was Conducting Officer in charge of Risk Management for the AIFM of an international private equity group; previously he held the position of a Director for a financial advisor in Luxembourg where he worked on financial markets, UCITS and structured products.

His role within BMI is to lead the Risk Management and Valuation Team.

Riccardo is both, a CFA and FRM charter holder.

Karim holds a master degree in risk management from the University of Mediterranean and is a CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) since 2015.

Before joining BIL Group, Karim occupied various positions with Pictet & Cie within the Asset Servicing area and support to clients. Before working for Pictet & Cie, Karim worked for JPMorgan Bank as Investment Funds Expenses Analyst. Karim's fields of expertise are the following:

Giulio Senatore

Giulio has over 17 years of experience in portfolio management in the asset management industry. He started his career as Credit Analyst in New York with Sanpaolo IMI Bank.

Before joining BIL Manage Invest in 2015, Giulio has been a portfolio manager for Eurizon Capital in Milan and for ING IM Luxembourg. He has also been a director for two different management companies in Luxembourg.

His role within BMI is to lead the investment process and the portfolio management oversight activities in order to meet the regulatory requirements and provide state-of-the-art portfolio analytics solutions for both listed and alternative assets.

He is a member of the Luxembourg CFA Institute and a CFA charter holder since 2009.

Karima Smaini

Karima holds a Master in Business Law and Tax and has over 15 years of experience in the Luxembourg fund industry.

Prior joining BIL Manage Invest S.A. (“BMI”), Karima was Head of Legal of a third-party SuperManCo. Before that, she worked for several years at Deloitte as a regulatory expert and specialist in cross-border distribution for funds (UCITS and AIFs).

She also held several legal positions in Luxembourg and Paris at Nomura Bank, CACEIS and Allianz Banque.

Her role within BMI is to lead the Legal Department and Secretary General where she is responsible of all legal and corporate aspects related to BMI and to the funds under management. She is also an expert in ESG regulation.

His role within BIL Manage Invest S.A. (BMI), as subject matter expert and "RC", is to ensure that the compliance program is effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting and correcting compliance breaches with applicable rules and regulations.
